This product functions by using medicated patches that were popularized in 18th century Japan and that have been made by Hisamitsu since 1934. Salonpas was launched in North America in 1987 and have enjoyed a popular following with good reason. Each patch is formulated with a blend of topical analgesics that can help alleviate pain caused by arthritis, strains, bruises, sprains, stiff neck, sore shoulder, backache, and joint pain.
Active Ingredients: Camphor (1.2%) (Topical Analgesic), Menthol (5.7%) (Topical Analgesic), Methyl Salicylate (6.3%) (Topical Analgesic).Inactive Ingredients: Butylated Hydroxytoluene, Hydrogenated Rosin Glycerol Ester, Maleated Rosin Glycerin Ester, Rubber (Natural), Perfume, Polybutene, Polyisobutylene, Silicon Dioxide, Starch Grafted Acrylated, Titanium Dioxide, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Zinc Oxide.
For adults and children over the age of 12: clean and dry affected area. Remove patch from film and apply to affected area for no more than three to four times daily for seven days. Remove patch from skin after eight hours, maximum. Children under 12: consult a doctor. Cautions: Do not use on wounds or damaged skin, if you are allergic to aspirin or salicylates, with a heating pad or at the same time as other external analgesic products. Avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes or rashes. Stop use and ask a doctor if rash itching or excessive skin irritation develops, condition worsens, or if symptoms last more than seven days. Keep out of reach of children.
